Special Track: Ecologies of Food, Agriculture, and Justice

DOPE 2016 hosted nearly 300 scholars, environmental professionals, and activists from around the world, and included over 200 paper presentations. The conference featured a keynote address by Dr. Tracey Osborne (University of Arizona), a rousing welcome address by Dr. Rebecca Lave (Indiana University), and a plenary panel with discussion from Drs. Sapana Doshi (University of Arizona), Nik Heynen (University of Georgia), and Adriana Premat (University of Western Ontario). Field trips explored regional sustainable agriculture, Lexington history, the Kentucky bourbon industry, and, for the first time, Mammoth Cave!
